Dr Danielle Delaney is an experienced Paediatric and Adult Urological Surgeon who has practised Urology in metropolitan and rural NSW and Victoria and she has worked on a voluntary basis in Shanghai, China. She has served as Head of the Department of Urology at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick where she continues to work regularly.
Dr Delaney is well known for her empathic patient care. Dr Delaney will take a wholistic approach to your child and their problem with their bladder, as from years of experience in this area she knows it is simply not a “lazy bladder” or your child doing it “on purpose”.

Danielle has extensive experience in kidney and bladder stone surgery and is able to provide all minimally invasive techniques such as flexible ureteroscopy and percutaneous nephrolithotomy. She is one of the few Urologists accredited to operate on children with kidney stones.
Danielle has developed a special interest in functional urology and is passionate about optimising bladder function from birth to death. At Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick, she has improved management of continence issues for children and adolescents participating international clinical trials for Overactive Bladder (OAB) and neurogenic bladder in children and adolescents. Danielle has extensive experience in neuro-urology management for children and adults with Spina bifida and complex continence issues as well as Multiple Sclerosis and spinal cord injury.
Danielle performs urodynamics evaluations in the clinic utilising ultrasound, preventing unnecessary exposure to radiation. She is able to provide a complete range of management for urinary incontinence including stress urinary incontinence.
As one of the few female Urological surgeons in Sydney, Danielle can provide empathic care to those patients who are more comfortable with a female surgeon.
