Our Continence Services for Adults, Adolescents & Children
-

Paediatric Continence
Specialist care for children experiencing any form of urinary leakage, using a thorough, individualised assessment to understand the cause and guide the right treatment plan.
-

Daytime Accidents
At the Yellow Spot Clinic we have a systemic approach to assessing the individual problem to ensure appropriate diagnosis which then allows a stepwise approach to treatment.
-

Bedwetting
Bed wetting or nocturnal enuresis is often due to deep sleep, more urine being made at night than the bladder can hold onto and nocturnal urinary urgency.
-

Adult Continence
Comprehensive, private assessment and management for adults experiencing urinary leakage, bladder urgency, or loss of control, tailored to your individual needs and lifestyle.
-

Recurrent UTIs
Investigation and long-term management of recurring urinary tract infections in both children and adults, addressing underlying contributing factors rather than simply treating each episode in isolation.
-

Telehealth Appointments
Convenient, secure video consultations with our clinic team, bringing expert continence care to patients across NSW and beyond, from the comfort of home.
What is Incontinence?
Urinary incontinence is the involuntary loss of bladder control - the unintended leakage of urine that occurs when a person is unable to hold on until they reach a toilet.
It is not a single condition but rather a symptom with many possible causes, ranging from an overactive bladder and weakened pelvic floor muscles to incomplete bladder emptying, urinary tract infections, and structural or neurological factors. In children, immature bladder development, constipation, and learned holding behaviours are common contributors. In adults, incontinence often emerges or worsens around significant life events such as pregnancy, childbirth, menopause, or prostate changes — though it can affect people of any age, any gender, and any stage of life.
About The Yellow Spot Clinic
Our goal at the Yellow Spot clinic is to help you or your child with their urinary incontinence whether it be daytime wee accidents, wee accidents when laughing (“giggle incontinence”), bedwetting (nocturnal enuresis) or recurrent UTI (urinary tract infection).
At the Yellow Spot clinic an systematic approach is taken with each individual to accurately assess the contributing factors and provide a stepwise management strategy.
